DescriptionThis Action Research report focuses on motivating adolescent students to speak English in their EFL classes. It was carried out in my teaching context, a private secondary school in the state of Veracruz. The participants involved in this study were a group of eleven adolescent learners who seemed to be reluctant to speak in English, and who seemed instead to prefer to use their mother tongue in the classroom.
