This Action Research aims to explore the impact of using Facebook as a medium to motivate Mexican EFL high school learners to write and to facilitate the development of writing skills in English. Data were collected by means of a pre and post-test, a questionnaire, a teacher’s journal and students’ written products. Findings indicated that at the end of the implementation, students developed the ability to write short texts in an organized way.
