DescriptionThis Action Research aims to explore the impact of using Facebook as a medium to motivate Mexican EFL high school learners to write and to facilitate the development of writing skills in English. Data were collected by means of a pre and post-test, a questionnaire, a teacher’s journal and students’ written products. Findings indicated that at the end of the implementation, students developed the ability to write short texts in an organized way. Moreover, they provided some evidence that Facebook could actually be a means to foster writing than the simple notebook in class.
